I want to turn you into a vampire, those words still echoed around my skull. They vibrated until i couldn't tell the difference.
Why did he want to change me? Am i to weak? Or just not enough?
He's coming tonight to make his wish come true. I want to be with him, but am i willing ot give up humanity? Am i really that desperate for love?
He comes through the door, and plants a kiss on my lips. I have to fight against my wince, but pretty much fail.
"What's wrong, love?" he asks.
"Just nervous." i lie adding a grin on top of it.
"Yeah, when you know what's coming you get nervous." he seems satisfied with my lie, and i'm not about to test my luck.
"I bet." my voice wavers, and i curse mentally at my foolishness.
"Are you ready." he asks holding out his hand.
I nod, no way am i about to trust my voice again. I grasp his hand, but have to be tense. It's either that or trembling until my whole figure shakes, and i don't want that.
He leads me to the gazebo where it'll be happening.
I sit on the fluffy blanket he had lain there.
He smiles at me, and his fangs grow. Every time I see them I'm mystified by their beauty. I slant my head there's no way to stop the trembling now.
His fangs pierce my neck, and i cry out in pain, but the pain is soon gone and replaced with numbness.
In every vampire story i've ever read there's bliss along with a bite, but i was going numb. I started to fight, and that's when the pain started.
Don't move, it hurts when you fight it, Aaren's voice says in my head. But my survival didn't want to listen once i started to fight i couldn't stop.
He pulls back, and looks at my face. My head is laying across his arm, but lays me in his lap, and pours something in my mouth. The flavor explodes. I hate the uncomfort it brings to me, but i have no choice to swallow or drown.
The flavor stops, and he whispers in my ear, See you soon. Then his warmth is gone.
I pass out, but later i hear voices.
"She's just barely alive." says one voice. Dad.
"Why is she out here?" asks another. Uncle.
"Let me see my baby!" cries another. Mom.
"Mom, be quiet." whispers another. Brian.
Everyone there loves me, and i was leaving them. Guilt spreads through my body, but it's slow. Too slow.
I pass out again, but soon i'm awake again.
"Her heart is going so slow. She's not going to make it." says someone i don't know.
Then a machine starts to go off.
A few days later:
I claw myself out of my grave. I look at my nails they would have been bloody if i had any blood to shed.
I am a mess. Dirt every where.
Then there's blinding pain. I shriek passes my lips.
"Jennifer?" asks a voice. Dad.
"Daddy?" i whisper.
"I'm so sorry. I was waiting for another vampire. I-i didn't look at the grave." my father strains the words.
The pain starts to spread even more.
"What's happening?" i ask.
"I just killed you." my father whispers.
"Don't worry. I never even wanted to be changed." i smile.
"You didn't?"
"No, i had no choice." i whisper.
"George?" calls a female. Mom. "Is it dead?"
"Almost." he calls.
"Need help with the torturing?" asks mom then she screams.
"Jennifer?" she asks. There's a thump from her falling by me.
"It's her, Becky." my dad assures her.
Then i start to float away.
I see my family surrounding my body, and, with a smile, i leave them.
I float a few states over, and i see Aaren. He has a girl with him, and they kiss.
I allow myself to be seen.
"Jennifer?" he asks his voice hoarse. "You're supposed to be immortal."
"Maybe, but i was staked. By my family of vampire slayers." i say.
His face pales, but i continue.
"Keep in mind, you may not see me, but i'll always be here, and whenever you start to forget about me you'll see me." i disappear, and smile.
His torture was just starting.
