• A Secret Love Chapter One




    Cathy's Mother: "CATHY GET DOWN HERE NOW!!!" Cathy's Mother screams in rage.
    Cathy: Cathy runs downstairs,trembling. "Y-y-yes mother?" She asked in a low yet scared tone.
    Cathy's Mother: "YOU DIDN'T WASH THE DISHES YOU FOOL! NOW GO WASH THEM OR YOU GET A BEATING!" She walked over to Cathy and slapped her,then walked away.
    Cathy: Cathy held where her mother had hit her then went to the kitchen and washed the dishes. She noticed her mom had fallen asleep on the couch so she crept away after washing the dishes. She quietly turned the door knob,then saw her mother move. She carefully took her hand away from the knob,then her mother fell asleep again. She quickly turned the knob and left the house,closing the door behind her. She walked around outside,until she bumped into a boy then fell down. It made a loud thud when she hit the ground.
    Adam: He noticed somebody bumped into him then he looked down and saw a girl with bruises and grabbed her hand helping her up. "Are you ok?" He said in a calming voice looking straight in her eyes.
    Cathy: Cathy looked at the boy and gave a small smile. "I-I'm fine. Sorry for bumping into you I-" She stopped when he interrupted her.
    Adam: "No need to explain,it's fine. It was an accident." He smiled at her then said,"I'm Adam and you are?" He said look in Cathy's eyes.
    Cathy: "I'm Cathy and Adam nice-" She heard her moms voice. "I gotta go,I'm sorry!" She ran away her shoes thudding on the pavement. "Mom I'm I mean I Its-" She choked out.
    Cathy's Mother: "Oh shut up you dumb little wimp!!!" Her mother hit her repeatedly.
    Cathy: Cathy runs upstairs shuts her door and lays on her bed,bawling.

    Chapter Two
    Cathy sat on her bed,swinging her feet. She heard rustling,and looked out the window. She saw Adam climbing up the tree by her room. He sat swinging his legs. "Hi Cathy." He said,with his super-cute smile. "Adam!" Cathy whisper-yelled. "What are you doing here?" She asked,as prickles of heat ran up her spine. He shrugged. "I wanted to see you. What happened,you know...yesterday? Your mom sounded pissed." Adam said with concern in his eyes. "Well...my mom isn't much of how you'd say...a mother." Cathy explained. "She beats me...I'm like a slave." She looked down,as she started tearing up. Adam put his hands on her shoulders. "Cathy...I've only known you a day. You're really nice and I was wondering if-" He was cut off by her mother's scream. "Cathy! Who are you talking to?!" She barked. "Go! Adam go!" She whispered. Adam jumped into her room and went in the closet,as she closed the door and her window. Her mother opened the door. "Who are you talking to?!" She repeating,looking at Cathy with a stern look. "Nobody,really." Cathy's mom,Farrah,looked everywhere. She opened the closet,and Cathy's heart fell and shattered into a million pieces. "Hm..." She said,and walked out. Cathy was confused as she peered into the closet. It was empty. Adam burst out of the shoe pile,(which were most of her mothers,) and hugged Cathy. She was scared at first,then blushed. "Adam..you have to leave..." She said. "Ok. But tomorrow I'll be here. We're going to the park. For a picnic. At night." Cathy was shocked. "So..like a...date?" She asked,as her heart thudded out of her chest. "Yes,a date." He said,and climbed down the tree,and ran home. Cathy shut the window. "Wow...my first date."
