Chapter One
or
Night Time Visit
Emily lay still in her bed. She can feel beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Even though it’s spring break it is a whopping eighty-nine degrees out. She gets up and opens her window wider, sticking her head out to catch some of the cool nighttime breeze. Then she goes back over to her night stand and takes a sip of her water. Then finally feeling cooled off Emily gets back in bed and lies down. Only that morning Emily’s mom had dropped her off at her father and step mother Pearl’s house. ‘It feels like a week ago…’ Emily thinks. She hates when her mom has to work. Her mother is working for Brenda Zhang who is going to run for Mayor. She sure to win, but there’s still so much work.
Emily had been lightly dozing when she heard the shouting. She has no idea how long she had been asleep, all that she knows is that since she is awake she better investigate. She gets up and looks out the window. A dark shape is heading toward her. She backs up to the open mouth of her closet. She hears more yelling. Out of fear she jumps backwards into the closet and quickly shuts the door. She looks out of the door crack. There sitting on her bed rubbing his chin, is the most handsome boy she has ever seen. His hair is dark brown. It’s so tangled it looks as if he had sat in front of a blasting fan before he came in through her window. She sees that there is a silver lightning bolt shaped strip of hair jagging from his fore head up to the top of his tangled do. She watches as his unusually silver eyes scanned the room. It occurs to her that she cannot really see if he is looking at her or not. She thinks he is looking right at her so she crouches down further hitting a box with her elbow. His eyes swivel to the closet. Now he’s looking right at her. He gets up, walks over to the closet, and opens the door. Emily stands up face to face with him. He is even more beautiful up close! She looks back at him, her face filled with fear and excitement. She licks the back of her teeth, waiting for him to speak. More yells came from out side. He looks around frantically. Then he walks back over to the window and shuts it gingerly. She could she two large holes in his denim jacket. Then he turns around and looked at her seriously.
“I am sorry for bursting in like this.” His smooth voice startles her. He pauses a moment then continues, “I need to-” his voice trailed off and he walked closer to her, looking straight at her blue and yellow rimmed eyes. “Your eyes,” he says looking deep into them, “what and unusual color.”
“Well ex-use me,” Emily answers finding her voice, “maybe you shouldn’t be talking. Your eyes are silver!” He looked startled at her comment, “What kind of color contacts are you wearing anyways?”
“C-contacts?” he stammers, taking a step away from her.
“Who are you?” she asks, “and how did you zoom into my window, and what’s up with your hair?!”
“I, uh, um-” he stammers, then he seems to calm down, he takes a deep breath, “My name is Gregor. I flew into your window, and my hair? What about it?”
“What about it?” Emily says throwing her arms into the air, “First of that silver stripe it so last season, and it looks as if- you- you flew?”
“Yes flew.” He says calmly looking at her.
“W-who are you?” she demands, “not just your name, but who you are.”
“I am Gregor. The now fallen, weather angel.” Gregor explains.
“Weather? Angel? What are you some kind of psycho?!” she gasps. He hops up onto her window sill and held out a hand.
“Here,” he said, “let me show you.”
Doubtfully she took his hand, “by the way, I’m Emily.” And with that he jumped. Emily screamed and closed her eyes waiting for her painful death. But it never came. So she opens her eyes to see that her and Gregor are flying high over the town that she lives in. “Wow!” she exclaims. He has large silvery-gray wings. They are probably ten feet from tip to tip. “Whoo- hoo!” she yells out. Her brain is telling her that she should be terrified but some how she cannot stop smiling. He looks at her, his eyes shining as he brings her back into her room. She looks at her digital clock.
“1:30 in the morning! I need to get some sleep!” she exclaims heading for her bed, “and you need to get out of here before my dad and step mom wake up.” He walks over to the window sill and was about to hop out when she cries, “Wait?! Will I ever see you again?”
“Of course,” he says mysteriously, “as long as you leave your window open.” And with that he is gone.

- wow! This has a really great storyline, my only critic would be to add some detail and not use 'Emily' and 'she' all the time. Other than that, it was fabulous! x
