"Everything is gonna be OK. I'll go get some help. It's gonna be OK, everything is OK." Brooke said panically as she leaned over my bloodied body."You got your wish. Your finally going to...to," She paused, "Do you hurt?" she asked. I shake my head as best I could and tears began to run down her face.
I reach up and stroke her cheek."It's OK. I knew this was coming. I willingly take the hand of death. I've gone as far as god has willed." Reaching my strengths end I close my eyes.
"I wil find him, Kate" She said, using her nickname for me. "I will kill him too."
"No, he may have done this but he is family. I cant go peacefully knowing that you are putting yourself in danger for me."
"Kate..." She choked
"Brooke, it's OK." I let out a gut wrenching cough.
"Can I get you anything?" She asked hastily.
Ignoring her question I look to the sky and smile, wincing at the pain brought on but the small muscle movement. I say, "Looks like rain." She glanced up and started panicing again.
"What do I do?"
"Nothing, Brooke. This was my wish." A death rattle escaped my throat. "To die in the rain." Brooke glanced around nervously. Even half dead I knew she hated the rain with a passion. "It's OK, go. I'll be alright." Gratefull, she gave me a lasting hug. When she stood tears began streaming down her cheeks again. She turned one last time and fled.
A shadow creped into my peripheral vision, and I knew that she was there, Death had finally come. "I've waited for you for ten years, ALsea." I said to her. With the rain pouring over me, the shadow took over my sight and I exhailed my last breath.

- Hm. It's hard to describe something with such tension, puts the reader at a loss for words. Quite remarkable. smile 4/5 I'd say.
