Prologue
The Beginning of a Destiny
It was a dark time. It was a time that was ruled by a malevolent creature whose anger and power knew no boundaries. His face was never truly seen or were there ever a being who could withstand his full and unbridled wrath. He sat upon a throne built by the relentless and merciless killings and dominations that littered every step he had ever taken. Those who did not submit to his rule were quickly brought under his absolute control and entire nations were nothing but slave labor to him.
He reveled in the tired and painful screams that echoed as the citizens of the fallen nations worked under conditions unlike any other. The corruptible and weak Humins, the metal artisans and warlord nation of the Ironnian, and the wise and peaceful nation of the Irahkahn were all brought under his vicious claws working to mine fiery hot crystals that were created within the hottest active volcanoes. Stories were told amongst the slaves about how he would pick one random slave and bring them to the dungeons to be tortured. Both night and day were laced with the screams of mercy by the victim, but mercy never came.
Even within this dominated world there still was a war being waged. A small country on the furthest southern tip of the known land kept the king’s domination at bay. The nation was inhabited by a race of beings known as the Dragonesium. They were a militaristic race and found the ultimate glory in the heat of battle. Hordes of the king’s army made from countless different cursed races kept flooding the borders of the country relentlessly, but breaking upon the borders and being unable to step one foot into the land. Even with their military prowess they found no reason to try and aid the other races. They looked out for their own backs and all they cared about was guarding their own borders.
One being how ever saw everything from a different point of view. He knew that this was the beginning of an unnamed prophecy of an unnamed race. He watched the clashing battles with interest looking for a key piece to the puzzle and he knew the only way to flush out that piece was to have the king’s army break the ranks of the Dragonesium. He appeared before the king and told him about a secret passage and that he should have his greatest warriors lead the army into the land.
The king followed the advice of the mysterious being and the army was able to sneak into the country of the Dragonesium with little to no interference. They were soon headed off though and a horrible battle broke out and the leaders of the king’s army soon broke through and began slaughtering every child and woman that they came in contact with. Their skills were so honed they never needed to reveal themselves from the cloak that hid their forms. As they slaughtered everything went silent and many of the woman and children hid within the buildings.
The elites soon went to follow them but soon came upon the main force of the Dragonesium. It was a part of the army lead by their leader, Matura. Matura rushed in soon followed by his soldiers and he clashed with each of the elites cutting them down one at a time until he ran into one holding a long sword that was glowing blood red. He pulled back his cloak and revealed a being that had an eye scarred and black and the other eye was pure white and a sick smile spread across his face. They ran at one another and clashed and their blades rang out as they collided. They fought for what seemed like hours, until the enemy of the Dragonesium fell.
The being who had given away their weakness appeared before the dragonesium ruler and convinced him that they needed to take action against their common enemy. Matura soon agreed and rallied his finest warriors. Those who would stay behind were lead into the deep catacombs of the mountains that separated them from a land that was unknown to many and known to few. The being spoke to Matura about a plan to seal the king’s evil within a realm known as the neutral realm. Matura agreed and ordered that the proper preparations begin.
The being knew that this plan was not going to be permanent. There was only one way to truly rid this world of the darkness that sapped its beauty. The only way that he knew from the prophecy he read, at least that’s what he determined, were crystals that represented the six elements attuned to the land. He had in his possession four of the eight that he knew about. He sat and looked upon them and he saw the false hope that many of the citizens of the last surviving country were grasping to. He did not care though about them. He saw them as needed sacrifices to bring out one of the celestial elements. He wanted to see the being of light. The being that would illuminate the darkness, and bring back the balance it once had.
His eyes fell upon the wife of Matura, Enris and within her arms were two large eggs. He watched her carefully and he knew that those two eggs were the only ones she was capable of bearing. He knew that they are rare colors respectively amongst the rest of the eggs that this race was capable or laying. He thought for a second and realized that one of those eggs must contain a piece of that prophecy. She saw him and turned her back to him. He smiled and nodded getting ready for all the things he worked for to begin.
Soon the preparations were complete and the group left for the realm of death. The place where nothing survived and the sun does not shine. The trip was long and arduous riddled with creatures that only crawled out in the deepest darkness and feasted upon the abundant spoils of death. They soon reached the border of where the king’s reign had begun. The land was grotesque and vile. Once pure lakes bubbled and stank of poison. The land was covered in freshly picked corpses. Mangled creatures that looked like hybrids of dragons and humins roamed the land snapping any fresh or dead meat they could latch on to.
The group tried to traverse their way through the land without being spotted but many times failed in that endeavor. Soon entire hordes of the same draconic beasts descended upon them and this did not go unnoticed. As the group fought off the relentless hordes the air became heavy and all fighting ceased. The creatures turned their heads and they bowed as they saw a figure walking in the distance towards them. The being looked around quickly and told the soldiers they brought to run, but before they could their bodies exploded and were sucked into small vortexes leaving no remains. All that was left were the being and Matura.
The figure soon got within clear view and what was revealed was a shocking revelation about who was behind all of this. It was a fallen Alamagra, a race long since considered dead and buried. It was clear because only Alamagra were able to take the form of a humanoid dragon with no sign of mangled parts or pieces. His body was pristine and for all the stories told about him he looked clean and well groomed. His eyes though were another story. They told a story of a being crazed and willing to kill and torture anyone he feels like. His tail whipped around crushing any dragon beast that did not get out of the way. When he reached Matura and the being his height was clearly established.
Matura watched as the king stepped forward and he looked up at the creature and all he wanted was revenge for the fallen innocents. He lunged at the king without a single warning and the being took the opportunity to run to where the slaves were being held captive. Matura fought the king with relentless anger and the king returned the favor and they both shook the ground as they clashed. Many of the dragon beasts just roared and growled excitedly as the two fought knowing full well not to get in their leader’s way.
Meanwhile the being began to free all the captured peoples using a strange ability to manipulate shadows. When he had freed all of them he began to chant a spell that echoed through the caves. The spell put all of the slaves to sleep and he began to move them into the shadows to get them back to their respective countries. He breathed heavily from the stress placed on his body from the spell and checked every spot in the lava caves. Many rocks fell from the ceiling as the two power houses clashes above.
When his checks were complete he pulled out a long black staff from his cloak and he threw it into the lava. When the staff hit the lava a strange energy wave began to emit and he ran as fast as he could to leave the caves. The wave shot out throughout the entire land and any who touched it was pulled into nothingness. The battle between the king and Matura was ended by this time. Matura’s body lay dead at the feet of the king. He turned to see the being running and soon the wave collided with him. The king fought the wave’s force as hard as he could but he was soon pulled into oblivion.
Meanwhile back at the home of the dragonesium the elites were alive and well and they found the hiding place of the survivors. The soldiers were too tired to put up a decent fight and were soon dispatched easily. The women and children also tried to fight. Their instincts taking hold and they became savage beasts who fought for nothing but survival. The only one who was free of this vicious fight was Enris. She held her eggs close to her and ran down into one of the many caves. One of the elites spotted her and broke off from the group and chased after her.
She had found an old cart that she knew would lead to the other side of the mountains. She heard the sounds of someone following her and she quickly placed one of the eggs into the cart and pushed it down the tracks. She watched as it hit an incline and began to accelerate. She gave a quick prayer and went to run away, but was met by the hooded elite following her. She quickly went to go around him but he swung out a large blade in front of her cutting her across her arm. The blood splashed on the ground and a deep growling began to resonate in the cave.
The elite turned and saw Enris placing the egg down that she was holding and the short claws on her hands began to grow. She looked up at him and her eyes were drunk with anger. She lunged at him with an infuriated roar. Her claws ripped and tore at his cloak. He was barely able to avoid the oncoming beast until all went silent. Lodged in her neck as a dagger, that only caused a brief halt in pain. Enris roared even louder and suddenly two blades swung out from one being chased and beheaded her.
The one who through the dagger fell from the ceiling and pulled back the cloak revealing a young blue haired woman, and she bent over picking up the egg. She turned and looked at the one Matura had fought and said, “Is this the egg?”
On the other side of the mountain a young woman was washing her clothes in a river when suddenly she heard a loud crash. She began to run thinking there was an avalanche happening, but soon stopped when she heard the sounds of a baby crying. She ran across the nearby bridge and found that the crash was caused by a mine cart. She saw what seemed to be a young baby boy in a freshly broken open egg shell. She walked over picking the baby up from the shell and brought it back to her house.

That was awesome! I would read the series if you wrote it! It was excellent! The story line, the wording (for the most part)... wonderful. You clearly have a great vocabulary! (That, or a thesauruses! Either works!)
There were, however, a few run-on sentences, the need of commas, and a few places where the words seemed out of order to me, but that could just be me. Four out of five! - Report As Spam
