- The small flakes made a gentle bed for the grass to lie. And the tiny flurries became snowmen. The children laugh and play all day long in their new drifting friend. Each little flake made another child smile. A pink tongue stuck out to grab a bit of soft ice. And it melted onto the little one's buds. The town was filled with tiny giggles and booming laughter. All were bundled up and ready to fight with cold balls of snow. Little kids noses turned pink as the cold came to them. Everyone enjoyed the snow as it drifted lower and lower from the sky. Some got cold and others not so quickly. A few went in for hot cocoa and others stayed out to play. Snow angels splattered her and there on the ground snowmen stood from two feet to four. But when the night had fallen everyone was in. For in the morning it would begin all over again.
