    The Beginning

    Have you ever thought that destiny had something to do with life? Like everything happened for a reason and you were sent somewhere for the same reason? That everyone and everything has a purpose and has to find it? Well I believe that life has sent me on a wild goose chase. I've always thought why. Why have I been sent where I've been sent? Who or what am I really looking for? Well let us just say everything happens just because it does and think about it some other time.
    Well let’s start from the very beginning, 25 years ago. I was born and, I guess, cursed. I was born with a strange mark around my neck. My parents stilled loved me, but my brother just pretended I wasn't born. Well I never knew my mother. One week after I was born she died of a house fire. No one knew how it started. 6 years later. I was growing up. I had long white hair. I loved to put it in a ponytail. I had dark blue eyes. I also started to learn about being a ninja. I guess I wanted to make my father proud. My brother was growing up to. He is 3 years older than me. He has short dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and he has a birthmark that goes up his right arm. My brother also started to like me as a sister. Well it was my 6th birthday and I was looking for my father. "Daddy where are you?" I yelled trying to find him. I saw my brother, Flint, talking to one of his friends. "Hey. Flint, where's daddy?" His friend looked at me. "So you're the little demon. Huh, you look harmless." Flint looked at him and then looked at me. "I don't know, look in the back." I shrugged and left searching for him. I went to the back and saw him. He was talking to one of his friends. I would always see him with these people, but my father never seemed to be glad to see them.
    "Daddy, daddy, I found you!" I said running toward him. His friend looked at me. "Go away me and your father are talking." he said. "Daddy what’s going on?” I said. He friend looked at me. “I told you to get, you little brat!” I took a step back a little frightened. My father bent down. “Just go inside. I’ll be inside in a few minutes.” He whispered. I began to walk away, but tried to listen to what they were talking about. “Is the scroll ready yet?” his friend whispered. “Not yet I need more time.” I turned around. “Daddy what is he talking about? What scroll?” I asked. I was a very curious girl. “Mind your own business, brat.” His friend said. I looked at my father. “I’m not a brat.” I said. I was a bit sassy too. “Get inside!” his friend yelled. He hit me to the ground. I spun around and tripped him. I took out a kunai and threw it right next to his head. I grabbed his neck and pulled him close to my face. My eyes were blood red.
    "Leave now, before I really hurt you." I said. "What the heck are you, you little demon?" "I'm Lena Tyen. Now Leave!!" I shouted. He got up and started to back up. "You'll pay for this Kinto. Big time and it's all that things fault." he said. "LEAVE!!!" I shouted. The man gasped and started to run. My father walked over and picked me up. "Well that Meany won't bother us again. Now how's my big 6 year old?" he said. "Daddy what did he mean when he said that you would pay and it would be all my fault?" I said. "Nothing, but if anything was to happen to me you and your brother are to leave and go to the Fire Village, okay?" he asked. "Okay." Then we went inside. For my birthday I got a stuffed animal from Flint, it was a fox. "Daddy what did you get me?" I said. "Well I got you two presents. The first one is this." He handed me a blue crystal on a string. Flint had one like it, but it was red. "It was your mother's necklace. The day before she pasted she told me to give it to you on your 18th birthday, but I thought today was a good day." he said. "What about the second one?" I asked.
    "Here you go." He handed me a small box. I opened it and it was a small blue mask. "How do I put it on?" I asked. "Well I made it and I put a zipper on the back. I thought it would make you a bit different from the other ninjas." he said. I put it on with the necklace. "How do I look?" I asked. "Just like your mother." he said. My smile turned into a frown. "Oh. Daddy what was mommy like before she died?" He stood up. "Well time for bed." Flint and I went up to bed. I sat awake for hours worrying about my father. I felt worried because of hi so called ‘friends’ and him still missing my mother. All of a sudden I heard something break. I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs and so did Flint. "Daddy! Daddy! Where are you?" I shouted. Then the same guy that I saw this morning came out of nowhere. "Hello." He took out a kunai. "Run Lena." Flint said. I turned my head. "No." I said. When I was turning to face the man he cut my right cheek. "LENA!!" Flint shouted. He grabbed me and went upstairs. "Hello? Lena wake up!!! Please wake up!" Flint said as he cleaned up the blood. I felt his tears on my face. I finally came around. "What? Where's daddy?" I said. "I don't know! Are you okay?" "Yeah I'll be okay." I got up. "Do I smell smoke?" Flint said. Smoke started to come up the stairs. "Lena we have to leave. Now!!" Flint yelled. He grabbed my arm and helped me out the window. "Wait." I said. I climbed back in the window and started to look around. "Lena now! I'm not about to lose you too!!!" I looked at Flint. "I was getting my mask, my stuffed animal, and mommy's necklace." I put the mask and necklace on. We got out of the house and started to run. After we had at least got into the woods I turned to see a smoke filled sky. "DADDYYYYY!!!" I yelled.
    10 years later. I still had the guilt that it was all my fault that our father and mother were dead. Flint and I had lived in the Fire Village since our father died. We had to live with a foster home until Flint was 18. I was now 16 and Flint was 19. I was walking around the village when I saw my friend Tiya Kazun. She was 2 years younger than me. She had light brown hair and had dark brown eyes. She had been my friend since I had been there. She was always there for me, but she had a tendency of getting into trouble. I saw her running towards me when I was walking. "Lena. Warning mode." she said. "What happened who died? Do I have to beat up that one guy again?" I asked. She shook her head. "No I took care of that for today, but it's a lot worse than that. You know that cute guy you like and can't talk to? He's coming this way." "What?!? No he can't. Hide me." I said. I stood behind her. "No Lena I can't hide you. You got to get away from here. I started to run. Then I hit something. "Ouch." I said rubbing my head. "Hey. I was looking for you. Are you okay?" I looked up. It was the cute guy. "She didn't tell me that he was looking for me." I thought. I sat there starring at him. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Uh. Oh yeah sorry." I said jumping up. "Hey do you want to do something?" he said. "Yes, wait, no, uh I have to go home. Now... Bye!" I said panicking. I started to walk away. "So I'll see you later. Okay?" I stopped. I turned around and he was gone. I ran home. "So how was today's mission?" Flint asked. I sat down. "Just great." I said. "Hey you sound upset. What happened?"
    "Well I saw the guy I like and I totally blew it." "I told you that guy is trouble and to stay away from him." I looked at him. "How is he dangerous? So he is part of the Anbu. What is he going to do?" "Well if they figure out that you are cursed they will lock you up. I'm not going to lose you." "They aren't going to find out. I can keep a stupid secret like that to myself!” “Why can't you just trust me?" "I can keep a secret because I have one you don't even know about." I thought. "Why can't you just follow my simple rules and stay away from people like him? Why the heck are you so stubborn." he said. "Oh sure, I'm stubborn because I want friends!" "No you’re stubborn because you don't listen to anything I say!" I stood up and slammed my hands on the table. "Oh I can hear you loud and clear because you are always treating me like I had done something wrong!" "Well you were the one who got dad killed. All because you wouldn’t stay out of his business." I stood up straight and looked at him. "I didn't do that on purpose." I felt warm tears run down my face and I ran out the door. "Wait Lena I didn't mean to say that." Before I left I stopped at Tiya's house. I looked in her window, but I saw Flint talking to her. Since I couldn't talk to her I left. I felt bad for a while for not saying goodbye to my only friend, but I had to get away. Before I left I stopped at the entrance. "Hey what are you doing?" I turned around. The cute guy was standing behind me. "Well? You aren't leaving, are you?" I looked at the ground. "I'm sorry. I just have to." I jumped in the trees and started to run. I could hear him trying to call me, but he didn’t know my name. I had gone to the Mist Village. I have lived there up until now. Now is when my real adventure begins.
    Present day. I woke up as usual, sweating and scared. Ever since I left I have dreamed of my past. I live in an apartment now and I work at a bar. I have missed Flint and Tiya ever since I left 10 years ago. Well it has been more like 9 and a half. I'm only 25; my birthday wasn't until a few more months. I have still kept my secret a secret. I still have the necklace and my mask. I had one picture of my mother, father, Flint, and me as a new born. The picture had been taken the day before my mother died. I looked at the picture. "I miss you guys so much." I said. I went over to the window and looked out of it. I stood there thinking about Tiya, Flint, and my parents. I tried and tried to forget that horrible day when I ran away. Then someone knocked at the door. "One second." I said. I opened the door. "What do you want?" I said. There was a guy standing there with a letter. “Are you Lena Tyen?” he said. I looked at his hat. "Um, yes. Why is it important?" "Yes it is. It's your father's will." I just stood there when he handed it to me. "Thank you." I said. He smiled and left. I went over to the bed and opened it. It had said that I got the house and half of the money. Flint would get the other half and all of the weapons. It showed an address, but not the village name. "Well where is the house I get." I thought. Then this letter dropped. "What the?" I picked it up and opened it. It read:

    Dear Lena,
    By now I am probably dead. I'm sorry
    for leaving you. You probably have a lot
    questions. Well I can answer this one.
    Where your new house is. It is in the Leaf
    Village. Now that some people know
    where you are going to be living, watch out.
    Please try and be nice to your brother about
    getting the house. I want you to help the hokage
    as much as you can. Try not to be trouble. I will
    always keep an eye on you. Try and keep your
    secret to yourself when you are living there.
    Oh and never forget your mother's necklace.
    It is very special. There is also a scroll with
    The will keep it out of anyone and everyone's
    hands. It is very important that keep it to
    yourself and let no one else have it. No matter
    what happens. You will soon realize that it is
    more valuable than you think. I love you.

    I looked at the will. There was a pocket on the back of it. I took the scroll out. I didn't bother opening it. "Looks old." I thought. Then I shrugged and put it in my backpack. “I guess I'm going to the Leaf Village." I thought. I started to pack all of my stuff. After I was done I looked out the window and then I heard something. It sounded like someone had come inside. "Hello?" I said looking around. I shrugged and put my bags together. "So you are going to come to the Leaf." I turned around, but no one was there. "Okay ha. Now who are you?" I said. No answer. I rolled my eyes, and looked at the picture. I went over and picked it up. "So who are they?" they said. I felt their head on my shoulder. "What the?" I said. I quickly turned around. Three people were standing there. "Who are you people? Why are you in my apartment?" I asked. "We are your escorts. I am Iruka." "And I am Kakashi." He was wearing a mask so I couldn't see what he looked like. The third person came up to me. "And I am Might Guy." He took my hand and kissed it. "Um, hi? Sorry, but I don't think I'll need help." I said. I walked over to my bags. I turned around and looked out the window. All of a sudden ten paper bombs came in the window. I looked at the picture. "No!" I took a step and the bombs blew. I had fallen. "Crap!" I said. I got up and ran over to the picture.
    Another paper bomb came and landed on my dresser. I grabbed the picture and the will and turned around, but it blew before I could move. I fell and then I felt something on my back. Something had happened and everything started to fade. I could hear their voices. "Guy, Iruka get the bags and I'll get her come on it's a distance to the Leaf." Then everything went blank. For a while I was knocked out. I woke up and I was in a room with my stomach bandaged around. I could hear Kakashi's voice. "Well I'm sorry I let them get away, but I had to get her to safety. She was hit with two paper bombs." "Two. I thought I only got hit with one." I thought. "One was on her dresser and one was on her back. Her whole back was torn up. She was knocked out ever since." I sat up. "Where am I?" I asked. "You are in the Leaf Village. I am the new hokage. I am Tsunade. This is Shizuna, my assistant."
