    The next few hours were a blur for Mandy Gekins. She had been told her mom was hurt, but she didn't know the details. She was rammed by a drunkard after she left her comference meeting. She expected a few bumps or bruises, but she was wrong.
    "Beep...Beep...Beep..." Was all to be heard in that still, quiet room. There lay the lifeless form of Mandy's mom in the bed, and a worried husband standing over her. No body made a sound. No one even dared to blink. In one split second Mary Anne gekins might fade away.
    Mary was a beautiful person. But not that scarred, bruised, comatose figure that laid in the hospital bed. What used to be a pimple-free face was now black and blue. Where there used to be an arm there was nothing. The Mary mandy knew was now just a memory of the past.
    This made Mandy think. What if her mom did die? What would become of her dad? Her mom was his only joy (ecxept for his baseball hall of fame card)! And... What would become of her soul?
    And in a flash, God saved her. She realized that it might be too late for her mom, but that doesn't mean it's too late for her! She became so flustered, so happy, that tears welled in her eyes. There was hope for her- and there's hope for you too.
