James and Michael were fighting for at least twenty minutes and didn’t get anywhere. The monsters were running out of objects to throw. Michael looked to see gas dripping from the car.
“Hey I got an idea.” He said to James.
“What idea?” James asked. “Is it something that involves pie?”
Michael pointed to his pistol then at the gas. “All we need to do is make them come to us. When that happens then I fire and boom!”
“Great idea.” James said. He backed up and shook his head. “Why do I have the idea that’s going to be the only smart thing you do for awhile?”
The two backed up quickly and the monsters were soon to follow. One stopped the others and roared. The leader of the group slammed its huge fists down making the ground rumble around the two, it turned out to be successful, the monsters then charged past the gas dripping car. Michael saw his chance and scrambled to fire his gun. He made a direct hit and covered himself with his jacket.
The monsters were on fire but they stopped and walked towards the two. James’ eyes widened and started to crawl backwards. Michael uncovered his face and turned around to see the burning monsters.
“Oh crap.” He said.
Getting up the two started to make a break back to the city. The monsters roared and chased the two.
Dan flew over now over the frost bite he had a few seconds ago and looked down to the freeway. He saw the monsters he had just faced a few moments ago. He floated and started to bring out his energy dragon again. It came out and spiraled down it stopped with its body levitating over the freeway concrete. Michael and James didn’t know if it was good or not. They stopped and watched as the dragon roared in their face.
“Oh god damn it!” James muttered.
Michael got a dagger in the slashing position and brought it close to his face for added protection. The energy dragon slithered past the two and started to attack the monsters. They all were flying back and gave the two teens to make a break for it.
Zack got up in Safeco Field and started to regain his bearings and stumble to grab his sword. The monsters jumped high threw the roof and attacked. Quickly he grabbed his sword and made an uppercut slash cutting one in half, the others didn’t seem to notice and attacked.
Adapting to their tactics Zack made slashes at the arms making the big hands less effective. One came up behind and got caught up in a smack with another sliver monster. He watched as the others crowded around the one who hit the other, then attacked it.
Zack put his sword away and walked off. “That was weird.” He said.
The monsters turned around and roared. Zack turned around and saw them all stare him down. With a raise of an eyebrow he raced out of the stadium. He bumped into Cristie and both fell.
“What the hell are you doing?” Cristie asked.
“Running from silver monster.” Zack said. “Killed one but they just keep coming!”
“Silver monsters?” Cristie repeated. “Oh no I am too. We need to find someone else, anyone, even that armored sexist.”
Zack didn’t hear the last part. “Sorry what? I didn’t catch that last bit, I was busy wondering where those monsters are.”
The two that were chasing Cristie showed up, then the group that was attacking Zack. The boy bit his lip and groaned. The girl narrowed her eyes at him. He put hand up and held his index finger up in realizing what he said. He nodded then jumped up and raced anywhere safe. Cristie was left there so she jumped up and dashed after Zack.
“You’re not brave are you?!” She screamed
“That’s not on the topic right now!” Zack answered. “I wanna live! And that’s a goal that’s going to be achieved today!”
The two scrambled below as James and Michael ran on the freeway. They looked behind to see the energy dragon attack. The dagger wielder stopped and turned around with his pistol and got a head shot. The monster went down then slowly got back up.
“What the hell are you doing?!” James yelled.
“Getting my head shots in, what’s it look like?” Michael answered.
Dan was running out of energy from above and started to drift towards the bottom. Got to…… Got to hold on a bit longer.
The monsters came slowly towards the three. The fire in the background touched their bodies but no burn marks showed up. Michael fired his pistol and again with head shots coming left and right, they made direct hits, but they had no effect. Dan’s energy Dragon started to get smaller then disappeared. He collapsed flat on his back, he was out cold.
James gave a shocked look, he turned his head around and scanned an easy escape route. He cringed and grabbed his sword racing towards Dan. “I can’t believe I’m doing this!” He yelled.
Michael watched James take the lead and making a swipe at the monsters. “Hey what are you doing?!” He shouted.
“Getting my kills in, what’s it looking like I’m doing?” James answered.
Michael grinned and started to go back and join in the fight. With gun shot firing and swipes getting hit, nothing seemed to affect the creatures. James waved his partner over to grab Dan and head over to the exit ramp. Both nodded to each other and started their get away.
The creatures didn’t follow. They turned around and disappeared.
