• I stood up to see the littlest of light showing over the tallest buildings. Even though it was getting lighter it seem to get darker and darker. I didn't figure it out till I got very dizzy and started to fall, but the boy caught me. Then the boy started to sway back and forth and then dropped me and fell as well. I opened my eyes to see the sun would soon be over the buildings.
    I thought quickly. I am now a vampire, vampires can't be in the sun. I am at the bottom of a cliff that there is no way out and not climbable. Vampires can jump, but not fly so we wouldn't make it. I used to have special powers when I was human but I don't know if they are the same because new a ability takes at least a few hours to really use.
    I tried run and take off but it didn't work, the sun was almost high over the death city and almost shinning over us. I saw that my protector (the boy) was lying on the ground just having trouble breathing. When I saw this it made me try something I know was already useless but then a voice in my head said " trust your new body, go ahead and jump." I grabbed the boy and got him to stand up and then held him and jumped up. I only got to ten feet then fell back down, but this was the only way. I kept on trying.
    Then when I saw the sun at the top of the building and then I felt my skin burn, a new feeling came into me, I am going to die. Then I leaped into the air and threw the boy up to the top but he didn't go to far and fell back to my arms when I started falling. Then all of a sudden I felt a feeling that made a smile on my face. My back started to tingle then huge gargoyle like wings were on my back. I swooped up and got to the top of the cliff.
    I wanted to celebrate but I was still sort of in the sun.
    I ran into the shade and pulled the boy into the cool shade. He started breathing normally but didn't wake up. I wold move closer to the house each time the shade was jumping from to shade to shade.
    Then I saw the big blue house I just started going home but there was no shade around it. So I put my sweater over the boy's face picked him up and ran. I could feel my skin burning but I didn't stop until I was in the house but that didn't save me there was still sun shining in the window I go to the closet and closed it's door. There was only a sliver on the ground I leaded back and put the boy to the ground. It wasn't a big closet so I stood up. I second I put the boy down the ground dropped under my feet. I cried as I fell into the basement. Then top of the roof where the closet floor was.
    So that's how he got down here I said to my self. I saw that parts of my skin was bubbly. There was many on the boy's face. I leaned down and touched his face, the burn when away from my touch. The boy had told me about this before. He said "that some powerful vampires could heal the worst of any burn they are called a healing vampire, but they can't fight." I can fight. I touched my skin and all the burns diapered, but I can heal vampires. I wanted to ask him "what if I do both?but he was still sleeping. Then I knew that my ability hadn't left me even if I was a vampire. Now I knew I could fight any thing that came my way, or so I thought.
