Since this is your first attempt at charcoal I'm going to focus on texture and I must say that I love the hair, charcoal is messy stuff and hard to work with. The only thing I don't like is the background (But it's not a focal point)

Her eyes do look a little bit close together, but I don't know if that was on purpose or not..
This was a great first attempt at charcoal either way. (:
