- Description: Daigaku Soutsugyousei. That's how you read the kanji. It's a Japanese style university graduation. Ladies wear hakama, a type of skirt, with furisode, and gentlemen also wear hakama but mostly kosode in graduation. Oh, and ladies sometimes wear kimonos in graduation, too. Japanese only wears them when they graduate university.
