What does it matter what life goes on beside me?
As long as I cannot find a ladder to climb
back to the cradle whence I've fallen,
colours are dull
fires are cold
and only the reflection of me in water
where I touch the sky, again
quenches any thirst.
Watercolour on watercolour paper. I hope it induces feelings of melancholy.
