The female leads from my comic, The Bend: http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Bend/
I was bored and wanted to experiment with watercolor. This was the result. I'm pretty proud of it. - Date: 12/02/2008

The way I did this one in particular, is I sketched it on watercolor paper first, went over the solid parts in black ink, then waterlogged the paper and let the paint do most of the work itself. Every once in awhile, I mixed colors where I thought appropriate; Emmeline's hat and gloves, the skull and fabric in the background. But for the most part, the watercolor is a wash. When I was done with that, I went over the inked parts again to make sure they stayed black. - Report As Spam
